 This three hour session builds on Coaches’ Critical Eye I.
Coaches' Critical Eye II
Coaching is about problem solving and working together with an athlete to create a solution. Each athlete has different technical and physical needs. It is our job as coaches to:
- Fine-tune our eye to get to the root of the problem
- Be able to clearly communicate this to the athlete
- Work with the athlete to create a solution to produce a desired effect
This process is key to coaching performance.
This three hour session is building on the Coaches’ Critical Eye. Participants will have the opportunity to share the commonalities that they have noticed amongst their athletes, how they problem solved, and the effect it had created (positive or negative). The session will continue with on-water work, where participants will be able to practice both refining their Coaches’ Critical Eye and their coaching communication style.
